Cumilla Liver Club, Bangladesh is a voluntary nongovernment organization by hepatologists, patients of chronic hepatitis B and C or their relatives, social workers, doctors, nursing professionals, journalists and lawyers, established on 20 July, 2017 at Cumilla, Bangladesh.

The organization works for treatment, prevention, research and public awareness of liver disease in Bangladesh with special emphasis on viral hepatitis.

President's Message

Liver diseases like acute viral hepatitis, chronic viral hepatitis, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma are common in Bangladesh. Many of these liver diseases can be prevented by early diagnosis, vaccination and creating awareness among general population. Cumilla Liver Club is a non profitable voluntary organization by Hepatologist and other physicians, patients of liver disease or their relatives, social workers and other members of the society for prevention, treatment and creating public awareness about liver diseases. Globally 354 million people live with viral hepatitis in the world today with more than 1.1 million lives lost each year to hepatitis-B and hepatitis-C. Cumilla Liver Club will work with different national and international organization for the elimination of viral hepatitis as public threat by 2030. Your cooperation will help us to fulfill our dream, β€œHealthy Liver Healthy Life”

Secretary's Message

Viral hepatitis is the seventh leading cause of death globally, accounting for 1.4 million deaths per year – more than HIV/AIDS, or TB, or malaria. Viral hepatitis is also common in Bangladesh. Cumilla Liver club of Bangladesh is a not-for-profit organization established in July 2017 at Cumilla, Bangladesh. This organization is dedicated to Prevention, Treatment, Education and Research on liver diseases with special emphasis on viral hepatitis. The club is also working for control of non-communicable liver diseases in Bangladesh. Our mission is to raise mass public awareness on prevention of all kinds of liver diseases. To create facilities for the treatment of liver diseases with affordable cost. We will work together with different national and international organization for the elimination of viral hepatitis by 2030. Our dream is living in a Hepatitis free world. We are delighted to inform you that our club become the voting member of world hepatitis alliance in 2022 which is a recognition of our activities for eliminating hepatitis from the world. Surely it will uphold our dedication towards mankind. With that involvement our activities now focus though out the world. It’s possible due to the continued support of all the club members and volunteers. We are really great full to all of you.

Description
Cumilla Liver Club Bangladesh is a non-profitable, non-political, non-government, charitable and voluntary organization.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
β€’ To create mass awareness about viral hepatitis
β€’ To prevent viral hepatitis and provide treatment to liver disease patients at affordable cost
β€’ To facilitate coalition activities among members by circulating information on research through scientific conferences and workshops.
β€’ To undertake and carry on any humanitarian or charitflle program for the poor and under privileged people for quality living.
β€’ To take up programs for promotion of science and education and publish journals, establish libraries and study centers.
β€’ To take up programs for distribution of relief among the neglected and at times of natural calamities.
β€’ To arrange training activities for rural medical practitioners and health workers.
β€’ To create awareness among the general public regarding the beneficial programs of the Club.
β€’ The Club shall be a non-partisan organization and may not be for the benefit of any particular religion, community or caste.
β€’ To provide expertise/technical assistance to other organizations regarding the above issues.
β€’ To raise funds and receives donation assistance in order to support the activities of the Club.
